Description of Curated Content

I chose to curate Growth Mindset in Education. The growth mindset term was devised by Dr. Carol Dweck over 30 years ago. According to The Growth Mindset—What is Growth Mindset—Mindset Works, “Dr. Dweck coined the terms fixed mindset and growth mindset to describe the underlying beliefs people have about learning and intelligence. When students believe they can get smarter, they understand that effort makes them stronger. Therefore they put in extra time and effort, and that leads to higher achievement” (n.d.).  I began using a growth mindset in my math class using Jo Boaler’s Youcubed lessons (n.d.). I learned very quickly that this could relate to all subjects and all educational settings.

The curated content focuses on a growth mindset in educational settings. I used Scoop. It! to curate content. This tool was user-friendly and easy to navigate.
